The aim of the Advanced Training Modul is to learn the basic processing of two-dimensional materials. The students will be introduced in the steps needed towards device preparation: they will exfoliate 2D-Layers from bulk crystal, identify mono- and bilayer structures, transfer these layers on a second substrate and perform surface characterization including atomic force microscopy and Raman spectroscopy. From the gained knowledge the students will be able to work in a clean room environment and use basic nanofabrication principles which can be used for investigations of physical processes in 2D-Materials.
