The Joint Winter School on Ultrafast Spin Systems and Correlated Matter 2025 will be hosted at the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics in Halle. It is open to and organised by the doctoral researchers of the iRTG TRR227 and IMPRS-STNS.
The school covers a broad range of topics centred on magnetic dynamics and novel material systems, including ultrafast spectroscopy, multiscale theoretical modelling of spin dynamics and 2D material systems. We hope to appeal to experimentalists and theorists alike, with invited speakers who have a range of expertise in the field. The aim of the workshop is to educate the doctoral researchers of the iRTG TRR227 and IMPRS-STNS on the state of the art through a blend of lectures and engaging tutorials from invited speakers. To foster fruitful scientific exchange and encourage future collaboration, the school will include laboratory tours, student poster presentation sessions and a lively social programme (detailed schedule to follow).
