Good data management is increasingly becoming a key component of the research process. The workshop provides an introduction to research data management, the fundamental principles, requirements of funding agencies and data management plans. The agenda will include practical aspects of how to handle data during the research process and how to publish data in order to increase visibility for your work. We will also touch on the idea of open access and open science and how it relates to good research data practice.

By the end participants will

• know the basic principles of research data management

• be aware of good practices during the research process

• know what a data management plan is and how to write one

• know ways to publish data 

The workshop will take place online and we try to find ways to be interactive in the digital space – we are happy to try this format with you. Equivalent of one workshop day, spread over two days (2*3 hours).
