Symmetry is a fundamental concept in physics, which tells what phenomena may occur. In a series of lectures we introduce you to group theory, that is the mathematical approach to symmetry. In exercises you’ll apply what you have learned to common problems in solid-state physics, in particular in electron spectroscopies. This ATM is suited for both theoreticians and experimentalists.
