Dr.in Sarah Huch
Dr. Sarah Huch is the Consultant and Coordinator for Gender & Diversity at the CRC/TRR 227. Her responsibilities include implementing equal opportunity measures as outlined by the DFG. She designs and organizes seminars, workshops, and talks to enhance gender and diversity competencies within the CRC/TRR 227 and to support scientists in advancing their academic careers. New ideas for initiatives are encouraged and can be implemented and funded through the DFG Standard Allowance for Equity and Diversity, subject to approval.
Sarah is located at Freie Universität, where she also works as a research associate in the Department of Biology, specializing on Gender, Diversity, and Sex Education.

The focus is on
- Promoting gender and diversity competencies
- Developing and organize seminars, lectures, workshops
- Supporting scientists (female scientists and people with diverse characteristics) in their academic careers through (self-)empowerment, networking, and various workshops and training sessions
- Providing introductory information and practical recommendations for integrating gender and diversity aspects into research and teaching
