TRR227-iRTG alumna Dr. Lisa-Marie Kern receives Carl Ramsauer Prize 2023

Under the supervison of Stefan Eisebitt, TRR 227 project leader of A02, Lisa-Marie Kern did her PhD research at the Max Born Institute. Her dissertation entitled "Controlled Manipulation of Magnetic Skyrmions: Generation, Motion and Dynamics" has been awarded with the Carl-Ramsauer-Preis 2023. The award ceremony will take place at TU Berlin on 22 Nov. 2023, details may be found here.


The Carl Ramsauer Prize is awarded by the Physikalische Gesellschaft zu Berlin in honor of the famous experimental physicist and first director of the AEG Research Institute Carl Ramsauer (1879-1955). From 1949 to 1951, Carl Ramsauer was the first chairman of the Physikalische Gesellschaft zu Berlin (PGzB), which was re-established after the war. Since 2002, four outstanding doctoral theses in physics and related fields at Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and the University of Potsdam have been honored each year. Since 2022, the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg has also been eligible to nominate candidates.

The Carl Ramsauer Prize has been sponsored by SPECS GmbH since 2015.
