In this one-day advanced training module, we will introduce the participants to the basics of terahertz (THz) emission spectroscopy, in particular the emission and detection of broadband THz pulses from spintronic heterostructures. The ATM will combine a short theoretical overview of the working principle of spintronic THz emitters and hands-on experience in the lab. We will start with a general overview of the THz spectrometer and its alignment. Finally, some THz emission measurements of a current project – studying THz spin transport - will be performed by the participants.
